Our Building Location

The University of Minnesota building at the Minnesota State Fair is located 2 blocks west of gate 5 on Dan Patch Avenue.

Discount Admission

The University of Minnesota Bookstores provide discount tickets to the fair.

Discount State Fair tickets (in addition to discount tickets to the Renaissance Festival, MN Zoo, and Valleyfair) are also available at the Coffman Info Desk, St. Paul Student Center Info Desk and Gopher Express West (in the West Bank Skyway). For more information, please visit:

Getting to the Fair

Metro Transit makes getting there the easiest part of your day at the Fair. Metro Transit offers three easy ways to the fairgrounds:

• State Fair Express - non-stop straight to the fair
• Routes 3, 84 & 960 - these routes serve the fairgrounds
• Free shuttles - park near the fairgrounds and ride free.
