Jack and Hank are wild and crazy physicists who are original members of The Physics Force. They use highly visual and entertaining demonstrations to teach elements of physics. The Physics Force goes above and beyond (literally) to educate and entertain. Their blend of slapstick, prop comedy and science is fun and educational for audiences of all ages.

MinnesoTap, the student run tap dance company at the University of Minnesota, will be performing tap dance choreography and improvisation to a variety of music genres.
1:00 pm The Gold Standard Show Choir
As the University's only show choir, we will perform a variety of group and solo numbers ranging from a variety genres.
2:00 pm MinnesoTap

Tap into health care experts who are illuminating new treatments for common to complex conditions. As faculty physicians of University of Minnesota's Medical School and one of the state's largest multi-specialty physician groups, we offer a full spectrum of care tailored to each person's unique needs. UMPhysicians represents more than 900 physicians in 18 specialties and more than 100 subspecialties at sites across the Twin Cities and region.
9am - 3pm Institute for Prostate and Urologic Cancers
Learn about how the Institute for Prostate and Urologic Cancers stands at the forefront of compassionate and innovative care through a combined emphasis on clinical care, research and education. Gather information about prostate, bladder, kidney and other urologic diseases and cancers. In addition to our spin-the-wheel quiz game, we will use models to help fairgoers understand the urinary system and its function.
9am - 9pm Minnesota Geological Survey
At this educational exhibit hosted by the University of Minnesota School of Earth Sciences and Minnesota Geological Survey, you can learn about how geology not only explains why Minnesota has so many lakes, it also controls our drinking water supply while shaping our landscape as a whole. University of Minnesota Professor and State Geologist Harvey Thorleifson will be on hand at selected times throughout the day to answer questions and help people understand the geology in their backyard, as well as statewide.
9am - 9pm WAM@20: Celebrating 20 years in our iconic home
The Weisman Art Museum is celebrating 20 years in our iconic Gehry-designed building. WAM will highlight 400 works-20 years x 20 ways-from its collection in three exhibitions and online. This is your chance to vote on artwork that will appear in an exhibition next summer. Stop by the design booth in the U of M building to cast your vote and pick up a WAM fan (WAM on-a-stick) or have your picture taken in a giant art frame!

Visit the Gopher Athletics area to get your 2013-14 Gopher tickets, watch highlights of the 2012-13 season and play some interactive games! Sign up to win two tickets to the Gopher Football Homecoming game vs. Iowa on September 28. Winners will be drawn on September 3 and contacted on September 4. We will be celebrating all the wonderful aspects of the Arboretum, including our home-demo gardens and plant collections, as well as educational classes and exhibits.

Fairgoers will get the chance to learn more about issues that affect the University of Minnesota, and discover ways to help.
9am - 9pm Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics
Discover the wonders of the sky in this exhibit from the Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics at the University of Minnesota. The exhibit will include many tools used by University of Minnesota astronomers including an infrared camera, 3D simulations and a telescope. Meteorites, activities from astronomy labs, and information about our astronomy events and research will also be part of the exhibit.
9am - 3pm GRADE Study
Diabetes is an epidemic today, with more than 25 million people now living with diabetes in the U.S. With a long history of diabetes research and care delivery, the University of Minnesota is home to some of today’s most innovative research and advancements in treatment. Stop by our booth to learn more about Type 2 diabetes and the GRADE Study. If you have Type 2 diabetes, you may qualify to participate in the GRADE Study.
9am - 3pm Anthropology
Stop by and get a first hand look at casts of fossils and skulls, and examine stone tools and other objects from humanity's shared past. Come and learn about the study of humankind! 

The Department of Anthropology prepares students in sociocultural anthropology, archaeology, biological anthropology, and linguistics. A lively community of scholars, faculty and students alike are engaged with research and teaching. With dual goals of advancing knowledge and connecting to the community, the department welcomes participants in its public colloquia and annual Anthropology Club Conference.

Food, fun, and telehealth! Come and experience the future of medicine with Dr. Hordinsky. Again this year gpTRAC will be partnering with University of Minnesota physicians to provide fairgoers with free teledermatology screenings and share information on telehealth resources in MN (and more!). See you at the fair!
3 - 9pm Community-University Health Care Center
Learn more about the Community-University Health Care Center, which opened its doors in 1966 and provides primary care services to children and low income families in South Minneapolis.
